Join Alejandro Chaoul’s December programs this week.
Alejandro Chaoul, PhD, has been a student of Tibetan Buddhism since 1989, studying with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, and Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. He is an assistant professor and director of education at MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Integrative Medicine Program where he teaches Tibetan meditation and Yoga to cancer patients, their families and caregivers, and researches the effects of Tibetan mind-body practices with cancer patients. He also teaches mind-body techniques to medical students, staff and faculty at UT’s medical school, and at MD Anderson, as a way of self-care.
Alejandro received his Ph.D. in Tibetan religions from Rice University, teaches in the area of spirituality and health at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, as well as in the Jung Center, the Rothko Chapel, and Rice University’s Glasscock School of Continuing Studies.
